The 2012 Chevrolet Avalanche truck is part pickup, part SUV and entirely practical. Its big, roomy cabin is virtually identical to the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban-at least from the second-row seat forward. What makes the 2012 Chevy Avalanche so much more versatile than a crew-cab pickup is the standard folding midgate bulkhead behind the rear seat. Essentially a cutout covered by a metal panel, with the midgate folded down the Avalanche’s bed is extended into the cab. Built on the same platform as the Suburban, the 2012 Avalanche full-size truck is endowed with the same strong chassis, ground clearance and AWD ability as its SUV cousin. The only difference is there is no 2500 model, and the standard engine is Chevy’s small-block 5.3-liter V8 featuring Active Fuel Management and E85 capability.
Best Pickup Buying Tips
When you a used vehicle, do you just go to a lot and pray? That isn’t going to be the best strategy. Instead, give yourself the power to get what you deserve by considering these negotiating tips.
Always ask for a test drive. In fact, we will even pay you to test drive one of our vehicles. Each individual who schedules a test drive at Vestal Buick GMC is rewarded with a $20.00 gift card. While some private sellers may not offer you the chance to do a test drive, we encourage it. Always deal with someone who will allow you to see how the truck runs.
If you are trading in an automobile, visit your local library and find out the value of your car. You can also look this information up online in several different locations. By having the trade-in value of your car and the retail value of your car you can help you in negotiations.
Have an independent mechanic check out your vehicle. If you can not get a mechanic to look at cars with you, at least be sure that you have him look at your final choice before you buy it.
Know your limits. Before you start shopping for your next car or truck, decide how much you can afford to pay, and stick to it. Don’t forget to include interest in your calculations. You can expect to pay around 20 percent as a down payment as well, so be prepared.
Although some sites suggested not test driving a vehicle because of the emotional attachment that can happen, it is never a good idea to purchase something without trying it out. Take at least a fifteen-minute long test drive to really get a feel for how the car handles and how comfortable the car truly is.
When you know what you want and how to get it, you will feel great in achieving your goal. We would love the opportunity to have you as one of our customers. We don’t want to just sell you a car, we want to make you a customer for life.
