2012 Chevy Tahoe Test Drive & Truck Review

2012 chevrolet tahoe ltz

today I'm gonna be doing a review of the 2012 Chevy Tahoe LT this is a great people mover great stuff mover I'm excited about this review let's go take a look if you're looking for space and utility the Tahoe should be on your list with seating for 8 and 80 500 pound towing capacity and available 4-wheel Drive the Tahoe is a versatile hauling machine now you'll like being a passenger

in this vehicle the second row is comfy as can be and you've got a commanding view of the road so you can sit back and kick it with a cup of coffee home James now the third row of the Tahoe is a bit of a different story now again I'm an average-sized guy about five nine and although it's very supportive here the flooring is shallow so your knees are really kind of bent

up there's ample Headroom but I would relegate this third row to children but hey they'll be traveling in style if you opt for the leather seating which is what I would recommend the interior design in my opinion falls a little bit flat I was hoping for some updates with the 12 model but I don't see them this model has an off-the-rack GM control for your audio and for your climate I mean at this

price point I'd love to see a touchscreen display now that's one of my pet peeves you know if you're using this vehicle as a crew mover and a production vehicle you know I guess it would be passable but you know what if you're a soccer mom or dad shuttling kids around you'd love to have a little bit more bling I mean if you think about the size of this vehicle it's almost

as big as a lot of apartments in Manhattan don't you think you should have some sort of form of entertainment but that being said I think the interiors put together well the materials look like they're easily cleanable which is a good thing for a family vehicle when you've got a lot of activity in and out of this car good coffee this is Walters coffee and Walter makes the best no doubt let's talk about

what ultimately is most important the driving experience now I'm gonna have to say I have rented Chevy Tahoe for quite some time now and they have always been one of my favorite production vehicles the driving dynamics are very sure and very quiet comfortable it holds a steady line it's straight as an arrow the steering is precise and sure it exudes confidence when you're out on the road you have this higher perch you feel very

sturdy and protected it's got lots of power when you need it you put the pedal down and this vehicle responds because of the weight and the heft of the vehicle you would think it would have some sluggish spots but there is everlasting power in this car the 2012 Tahoe is powered by a 5.3 liter v8 that produces 320 horsepower and 335 foot-pounds of torque it's relatively quick off the line going from 0 to

60 in under 9 seconds while delivering a respectable 15 city/21 Highway mpg now the low spots for the driving performance the ride can be a little bit choppy on uneven road surfaces so you'll feel those potholes and there's a bit of body roll in sharp curves but again you're driving a large SUV and with lots of gear and people in it you're not looking for the hairpin turn circuit but on balance I

really like it it's a fun car to drive especially if you like a larger trunk feel so if you'll be carrying lots of peeps around and you still need room for cargo you may want to upgrade to the suburban now that that's big now there's easy comfortable seating for seven and the Tahoe and the suburban I'm sitting here in the suburban which offers third row seating with ample amount of cargo space so if

you're taking those peeps and you want to bring their luggage to maximum cargo space for the Tahoe is about 107 cubic feet and for this suburban 137 cubic feet and the one low spot for both vehicles to get that maximum cargo capacity you have to remove the third row seats which isn't easy they're heavy you need a place to store them I mean what do you do with this now putting the seats back

is no picnic either did I mention I do all this stuff myself I need an intern this one's even heavier all right now I need a break I don't want to go call the trip off tripped off so there you have it another honest Auto review from an average guy if you're in the market for our people and stuff hauling machine you need some power to tow the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban should

be on your test drive list and I'll see you next time I think I need to go take a nap see you next time you you
